Portraiture style photography is where my love for the craft began. But not in the ordinary sense. My preferred portraiture is soft rather than structured, expressively candid before meticulously posed, and filled with wonder and novelty. Some have said I have a documentary-like, photojournalistic approach that tells a story through still images. Others say my approach is tender, catered to the deeper heart, pulling strings of emotion and hidden sorrow.

My goal with a portrait session is to illuminate the most radiant and authentic flavor of you. The beautifully confident version of you that you wish was continuously default. Truth be told, photoshoots can stir internal negative self-talk. We tend to judge ourselves more harshly and intimately than our own worst enemy. Which is why choosing a photographer who knows that experience deeply is the first step. Next, I will be there guiding you every step of the way: from posing and direction, wardrobe and set decor, or tapping into real emotion and confidence, my mission is to capture the timelessness of you, while we both feel thoroughly nourished from the experience.

These shoots normally take place outside but can also be done in the home, work studio, coffee shop, or other preferable location.     Benefits: Extended time to capture versatile, multi-use photos. Oftentimes it can take up to 45 minutes to truly find your unique flow in front of the camera, so if its within your budget, I always recommend this session.
